Dialogue With Emperor Qin

Featuring 28 European and 3 Chinese Sculptors

2011 – present

Featuring 31 international sculptors, Dialogue With Emperor Qin aims to nurture a dialogue between China and The European Union.

Inspired by Emperor Qin’s terracotta warriors, the 28 European and 3 Chinese artists created life sized sculptures in response to the first Emperor of China’s sculpted army.

Collectively, the works in the exhibition form a new peaceful army, one dedicated to sharing ideas between cultures.

During 2011 and 2012 the exhibition toured 8 museums in China and in May 2013 the sculptures began their European tour. To date the exhibition has been seen in 16 different locations.  It will end its world tour at the Zaha Hadid designed, Port House – Headquarters of The Port of Antwerp in December 2017.
